Gold Earrings and Beads

These gold earrings and beads were recovered from a site in Woonyang-dong, Gimpo, along with various weapons, including an iron sword, spearhead, and arrowheads. A pair of earrings with similar features was found in Laoheshen, China, at a site associated with the Buyeo Kingdom of ancient Korea. In particular, the red beads on the earrings are known to have been a special product of Buyeo. Interestingly, the Woonyang-dong site is located in the former territory of Mahan, so these earrings suggest that Mahan may have been influenced by Buyeo.
