Celadon Maebyeong, Vase with Wrapping Cloth with inlaid design

The upper parts of the shoulders of this vase are inlaid with an exquisite design inspired by jogakbo (Korean traditional patchwork wrapping cloths). This type of design is believed to have been a representation of the soft silk jogakbo that were often set over such vessels to prevent damage from the lid and to highlight the decorative motifs.
