Inlaid Celadon and Lacquerware Inlaid with Mother-of-pearl

At the time of its excavation this Celadon Box contained inner cases inlaid with chrysanthemum designs, a mirror, and a case for
acupuncture needles. This suggests that they were makeup implements for women. Inlaid celadon and lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl share similarities in that they are both adorned by filling in a surface with a different material.
