Celadon Gourd-shaped Ewer with Peony Scroll with inlaid design

There are three types of sanggam (inlay) –inlaying of fine lines, inlaying of wide areas, and inlaying of the areas surrounding a design rather
than the design itself. This ewer features the use of all three types, thereby demonstrating the full range of the splendor of inlaid celadon.
With a harmony between the body of the ewer and its elegant curves and the peony scrolls inlaid in reverse (meaning in the areas outside
of the design), this piece is both elegant and exquisite.
