Celadon Turtle-Dragon-shaped Ewer

This vessel has been adorned with remarkable detail, as evidenced by the incision of the character “王” (meaning, king) on each of the
hexagonal patterns on the shell of the animal and the wrinkles on the toes. It has been coated with a thick layer of jade-green hued glaze. It is an example of the grand age of celadon modeled after natural forms and bursting with vitality.
