This is a painting of Haesanjeong Pavilion from the Album of Paintings of Geumgangsan Mountain. It depicts the area near Haesanjeong Pavilion, which is shown facing the east coast. The rocky white peak of Geumgangsan Mountain looms in the distance, while Daehojeong Pavilion stands near the Red Cliff with the Namgang River on the right. Chilseongbong Peak is viewed as seen from the East Sea and is depicted in an arrangement reflecting the Big Dipper. Fitting with the painter’s intention to record the scenery of this vast area, the names of the places are written and arranged as in a map.
