This scene from the Album of Paintings of Geumgangsan Mountain describes areas near Samilho Lake, home to Saseongjeong Pavilion. It was drawn from a bird’s-eye perspective by setting diagonal lines in the middle of the lake. This circular composition was commonly used in landscape painting before Jeong Seon and until the late Joseon Dynasty.
