This Goryeo inlaid celadon pillow is the most sophisticated example currently known. It was made by joining six plates to form lines and sides stretching in a parabolic form from a square-shaped pillow sidepiece to the inside, adding a remarkable visual effect to its function as a pillow. On the background of each face of the sidepiece is decoration expressed using a reverse inlay technique. A large circle is formed using black slip and white slip inlay in the middle of the top and lower sides, and its inside is inlaid with clouds and cranes.
