It is thought that these bronze dagger-axes were used as weapons, but unfortunately, it is not known where they were discovered. Unlike the dagger-axes used in China, Korean-style bronze dagger-axes have a long groove called a pihom, meaning “blood groove,” in the middle of the blade. Furthermore, the part inserted into the handle of the Korean-style bronze dagger-axe is short, distinguishing it from its Chinese counterpart.
