This album contains poems and articles written by the sons, nephews, and sons-in-law of Kim Su-jeung, as well as a ten-panel landscape painting produced by Jo Se-geol in the late Joseon Period. Around 1670, Kim Su-jeung built Gogunjeongsa House and Nongsujeong Pavilion in a rural part of Sanae-myeon, Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do, and settled there after falling in love with the beautiful landscape. He named the nine valleys of Yongdamcheon Stream near his house “Gogun Gugok,” literally meaning “the nine valleys of Gogun” in Korean, and had Jo Se-geol paint the area’s wonderful natural scenery.
