This is the epitaph on the tomb of Yi Ja-yeon (1003-1061), the father-in-law of King Munjong and the grandfather-in-law of King Sunjong, King Seonjong, and King Sukjong of the Goryeo Dynasty. When his daughter and granddaughter became queens, his family achieved the highest possible status in Goryeo.
