This is a piece of handwriting made by Prince Yi Gong (later King Sunjo, the 23rd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty) in 1795 (the 19th year of King Jeongjo’s reign), when he was six years old. The Chinese characters written at the top by Yun Haeng-im (1762-1801) state that he would forever treasure this handwriting given to him by the prince.
