This picture depicts a scene of a blacksmith shoeing a horse’s hooves after first making the horse lie down and tying its four legs to posts to prevent it from moving. There is drinking water top left for the workers to quench their thirst when necessary, and there are baskets and tools in the lower part of the painting, contributing to its composition.
