These dangling ornaments were used to decorate the gold crown excavated from the Seobongchong Tomb in 1926. While quite a few tombs of the Three Kingdoms Period have yielded crowns and the various ornaments decorating them, dangling ornaments such as these have been discovered mostly in Silla tombs along with the gold crowns embellished with ornaments erected along the band. Each of these dangling gold ornaments hung on both sides of the crown band consists of a thick hollow ring, and a pair of chained strings, one short and the other long, luxuriously ornamented with heart- and nib-shaped gold spangles.
