Thick white slip was applied to the entire body of this buncheong bowl, except for the feet and their neighboring areas, and mild traces of white brush strokes remain. Iron underglaze was used over the white slip to draw the simplified scroll design in quick, bold strokes. The flexible shape of the bowl, the clear contrast between the darker color of the foot and the white slip of the upper part, and the thick yet smoothly drawn scroll design combine perfectly to create the charm of this bowl.
