This is a duck-shaped piece of pottery. The cylindrical object on the duck’s back is for pouring liquor. In the past, Koreans believed that a wild duck or a bird served to ward off evil spirits and lead the spirits of the dead to the other world. This piece of pottery is thought to have been used as a ritual object.
