This ewer is said to have been unearthed in the Gaeseong area in what is now North Korea. Its overall form displays an ancient style with a voluptuous body with a rather large handle and spout. Both sides of the ewer’s body feature a large, white paste-on-paste circle with the inner area inlaid with an image of a child playing in a flowering tree, and another tree. A dull green glaze covers the entire ewer, including its bottom.
