According to Kang Se-hwang, this landscape painting was made by Jeong Seon (1676-1759) in his middle years. The composition, which fills the entire canvas, follows the style of traditional landscape paintings of China. The depictions of seasonal landscapes appear to follow the style of the Southern School of literati paintings and the Zhe School of painting (which was influenced by the style of the Zhejiang region in the Ming Dynasty) during the mid-Joseon period.
