This is a miniature shrine made by the sherpas of Nepal in the 19th century. It consists of a Buddha image seated inside a cave, with his legs crossed. His right hand is pointing downwards, his left hand lies in his lap. The Buddha is flanked by two bird-shaped attendants with their two hands clasped together, suggesting a possible sign of Hindu influence.
