This is the transcription of Volume 7 of the Saddharmapundarika Sutra (The Lotus Sutra), written in gold on indigo paper. It was enshrined at Bongjeongsa Temple in 1366 (the 15th year of the reign of King Gongmin of the Goryeo Dynasty) by Kwon Do-nam, a lower official in charge of the grain used at national sacrificial rituals, to pray for his deceased father and other ancestors. Compared to the later part of this transcription, some of the characters at the beginning of the main contents appear to have faded over time.
