This convex roof-end tile with a beast design is presumed to have been produced in the mid-7th century. The tile’s face is decorated with the face of a beast surrounded by lotus designs. Roof-end tiles with this kind of design were made in large quantities during the Unified Silla Period, and reached a mature stage in terms of their aesthetic quality.
