Simseongnokchwaryo-odo (Illustrated Guide to the Mind Theory) attempted to explain Simseongnok, a book about the human mind, from the perspective of epistemology, with five illustrations associated with neo-Confucianism. It shows that scholars engaged in philosophical exploration of mind until the late Joseon Dynasty.
