This mirror, one of a kind usually discovered in ancient Nangnang tombs, displays eight auspicious animals, including the Four Guardian Deities, arranged between the square at the center and the TLV pattern outside. Twelve Chinese (and Korean) zodiac signs are carved inside the central square, and there is an auspicious inscription inside the outer band. Such mirrors emerged during the latter half of the 1st century BCE and continued to be produced for quite a long time.
