This is a woodblock print of Volumes 5-7 of the Saddharmapundarika Sutra (The Lotus Sutra), one of the representative Buddhist scriptures. Its beginning part contains a wood engraved painting, produced by a person known simply as Jeong, to serve as a prayer for a peaceful life in paradise for King U of the Goryeo Dynasty. This is one of the most exquisitely engraved works among the woodblock prints of the Lotus Sutra.
