This book was based on the discussions about Confucian rites held between Kim Jang-saeng (1548-1631), a specialist in the study of rituals, and his disciples and friends. It was compiled by his son Kim Jip. This woodblock printed four-volume work was first published in 1646 (the 24th year of King Injo’s reign), and was expanded with a supplementary volume at a later date. This copy was published in 1792 (the 16th year of King Jeongjo’s reign).
