This is a book of the Saddharmapundarika Sutra (The Lotus Sutra) containing, in addition to the main text in Chinese characters, interpretation by a Buddhist monk named Jiehuan of the Song Dynasty, annotations by Iryeo, the addition of Korean phonetic signs by King Sejo, and its translation into Korean by the Gangyeong Dodam (Directorate of Buddhist Publications). In the sutra, which is one of the two most important sutras along with the Avatamsaka Sutra (The Flower Garland Sutra), the ideology of the vehicle of oneness is explicated via various literary techniques and figures of speech.
