This folding screen is a kind of pictorial and poetic record of the detailed procedures and expenses of various rituals, and the scale of the royal palace. This folding screen comprises eight panels and shows an image of a king performing an ancestral rite in person at Sajikdan Altar. It is presumed to have been produced during King Jeongjo’s reign in the Joseon Dynasty, and is regarded as valuable material for research on the Sajikdan Altar and the ancestral ceremony.
