An arm rest is a support where arms are placed when people sit comfortably on the chair. The wooden boards of its upper and lower parts are curved inward, so its curved outline becomes not only very beautiful but also perfect for a human being’s body. The center pole that supports its wooden boards is made up of four slim poles intertwined. A pine tree and a deer are carved on the wooden boards of both sides. The design of this arm rest represents Korean traditional design for wood furniture that considers both function and decoration very important.
