Discovered at a low hill in Namjeong-ri, Gobuk-myeon, Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do in 1976, this chicken-shaped pottery is presumed to have been buried in a Baekje tomb dating back to the early 5th century. It has lost its tail part, but the beak, eyes, and crest are exquisitely expressed, while the cheeks are a little chubby. Pottery vessels of this form are often unearthed from tombs dating back to the Three Kingdoms Period.
