This calligraphy was written by King Gojong in the running script. The phrase states that “The best way to maintain a family is to show filial piety toward one’s parents and love for ones’ siblings.” The statement at the end indicates that it was written in the Eulmyo Year (1915) at Seogeodang Hall of Deoksugung Palace.
