This box takes on a somewhat rounded shape as the border between the upper body and the side of its lid is skewed. The pattern appears rather congested, but its regularity makes it seem constant. The flat upper side is decorated with six inlaid cranes with eyes and beaks depicted in iron brown underglaze. Fifteen circles surround the cranes as a background. The oblique side of the box is covered with black dots in the middle of white dots, forming a circle. A thick layer of grayish-blue glaze covers the entire piece.
