This lidded bowl was made in the shape of a petal by applying ribbed designs everywhere except for the top and bottom of the lid. Four children hanging on a scroll of lotus flowers are depicted on the lid. To make them appear more lifelike, black dots were applied in slip using an inlay technique for the contours of the children, their clothing, and the lotus seeds.
