This type of bottle characterized by an open mouth reminiscent of a trumpet, slim neck, and a body that grows increasingly rounded was popular in the early Joseon Dynasty. The beautiful peony and scroll designs were drawn using the sgraffito technique, and partially emphasized by the addition of iron underglaze.
