This sacrificial vessel known as a bo was used to offer rice and millet to ancestral spirits or guardian deities. According to Jegi doseol (Explanatory Diagrams of Ritual Vessels), this type is marked by a rectangular shape attached with animal-shaped ornaments and further decorated with lightning and wave patterns. This particular item displays rounded corners and is decorated with loop-shaped, rather than animal, ornaments.
