This buncheong goblet of a type commonly used by mounted warriors exhibits an outwardly-bent mouth and gentle lines. Many similar celadon pieces dating back to the late Goryeo period have been found, as well as buncheong ware and white porcelain examples dating to the early Joseon period. A scroll design is inscribed around the mouth and Chinese characters reading “samga” (三加) are inscribed in the center of the inside bottom. The goblet also bears the inscription “Insubu” (仁壽府, the name of a government office) inlaid in white in a circle on the outside of the cup.
