This mirror is typical of those produced during the Kamakura Period of Japan. It features a flat tortoise-shaped knob in the center and is decorated with embossed designs of birds and pine trees at the top, a pavilion on the sea on the right, cloud and leaf designs on the left and right, and a wave design at the bottom.
