The shape of this incense burner is modeled after the ancient Chinese tri-legged cauldrons known as ding (鼎). The burner’s mouth is bent thickly outward, and symmetrical semicircular handle decorations modeled after straw rope can be seen on both sides. Two rows of raised bands encircle the outer middle, and pinwheel-shaped flower decorations are attached in between.
