This ewer possesses a rigid feel due to being produced in a metal mold. Banded thunder designs encircle the outer surface of its body, while scroll designs decorate the body overall. Flower designs lie within medallions in the background, a standard compositional feature of celadon produced in the 13th century. The symmetrical flower designs of this object are quite rare. White-slip inlays of simplified crane and cloud designs decorate the ewer’s upper body.
