Several of the paintings known to be portraits of Hwang Hui feature a half-length figure dressed in a rose-pink robe raising his hands to rest on the belt. Despite there being no mention of who painted it, it is clear that this is a portrait of Hwang Hui. Although it is regarded as a copy produced in the late Joseon period, the style of the official hat with points on both sides turned diagonally downwards is typical of the early Joseon period (15th century). The areas around the nose and eyes and the wrinkles on the forehead are partially shaded.
