This is cursive-style calligraphy by Yi Gwang-sa, who is said to have completed the development of a truly unique Korean calligraphy style during the late Joseon period. He describes an unidentified painting as being a divine work, applying an expression found in the Chronicles of Famous Paintings of Zhang Yanyuan (815-907) of the Tang Dynasty. The brushstrokes seem full of life and energy.
