This gilt-bronze standing Bhaisajyaguru Buddha holds a round medicine casket in the left hand with the thumb and middle finger of the right hand touching. The unrealistic distorted proportions of the body, the angular face, slit eyes, slightly protruded mouth, and naïve facial expression are unique to localized Buddha statues from the end of the Unified Silla period.
