Grapevines are elaborately depicted on the round body of this white porcelain jar by means of shades of color in cobalt blue and iron brown underglaze. A monkey is extending an arm to pick grapes from the vines while clutching a few grapes in its other hand. The characters “geogeumjuin” (車金舟人) are inscribed on the shoulder of the jar in cobalt blue.
