This seated Buddha statue goes against the conventional trend for small gilt-bronze Buddha statues, which were usually presented in a standing position. The folds of the U-shaped robe reach down to the knees, and the pedestal is adorned with lotus flowers. The body is portrayed somewhat plainly compared to the gorgeously adorned pedestal, which is a common feature of Buddha statues made during the late Unified Silla period.
