Sim Sa-jeong was a renowned literati painter who contributed greatly to the introduction of the Southern School of painting style during the late Joseon period. This Painting of a Landscape in Haegeumgang presumably depicts a scenic view of Haegeumgang, since its features waves and water birds with rocks floating in the middle of the sea at its center. In this painting, Haegeumgang was composed in the Southern School style.
