This landscape painting contains a seal impression reading “Naong,” which was the pen-name of the painter Yi Jeong (1578-1607). The treatment of the shapes of the mountains and the portrayal in white and black of the middle view appear to follow the Zhe school of painting (a Ming Dynasty style of painting with influences from the Zhejiang region). This work displays characteristics of An Gyeon’s paintings, while also adopting elements of the Zhe school.
