This is a Buddhist painting of the second of the ten kings of hell. On the 14th day after a person’s death, the soul of the deceased comes before the second king. This painting portrays the dead being plunged into boiling water in hell. The painting was originally kept at Taegosa Temple on Mt. Bukhansan.
