The NMK, selected as the new leading institution of ASEMUS

The National Museum of Korea (NMK, Director Kwang-shik Choe) was selected as the new leading institution of the ASEMUS (Asia-Europe Museum Network) for the term of 2011-2014 at its 2010  General Conference. It was held at the Quai Branly Museum (the National Anthropology Museum of France) in Paris during September 8-11th, 2010.

 

Present leading institution is the Quai Branly Museum, and the National Museum of Korea is going to start the formal term from September, 2011. In operating as a leader, the NMK will be supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), located in Singapore.

 

During the term, the NMK, representing the partners and joining the network, will direct all activities and managements of the ASEMUS such as academic exchanges and international cooperation.
