This wooden statue is one of the five hundred Arhats that used to be enshrined in Nahanjeon Hall or Yeongsanjeon Hall at a Buddhist temple. This exquisite statue represents an Arhat in meditation. The face is greatly emphasized, compared to the lower part of the body. The robe adornment made with gold powder is unique.
