This buncheong bowl bears the inscription “Deongnyeongbu” (德寧府), which was the name of a government office in charge of matters concerning King Danjong. As the office was operated between 1455 and 1457, this bowl includes important information about its production date and informs on the history of buncheong wares. The overall composition of the patterns and design appears stable, although the techniques used to inscribe the patterns and the quality of the glazing are very simple.
