An acorn storage pit was identified at the site of Bibong-ri in Changnyeong, Gyeongsangnamdo Province. It is the largest acorn storage pit to have been discovered thus far. The storage pit wall features vertical digging marks. Found near the base of the pit were round acorns that were intact and untouched by rot. The pit clearly illustrates how Neolithic people foraged for plant food sources in a warmer environment.
